"1781" - A 13"x19" fine art print that celebrates the history of Los Angeles

$15.00

Introducing the first fine art print from VINYLSMACK. "1781" is a streamline moderne illustration by Jacob Morales (@theycallmenobody) that pays homage to the roots of the city of angels. Taken from the origin of the first Spanish settlers in 1781, They named the city as follows "El Pueblo de Nuestra Señora la Reina de Los Angeles." which translates to "The Town of Our Lady, Queen of the Angels."

The wheat shaft represents the first major crop they grew for commerce. The design borrows heavily from the streamline moderne or art deco period of the 1920's that was prevalent in much of the downtown buildings of Los Angeles.

Available in 3 sizes (frame and matt not included):

• The 13x19 print is printed on museum grade 100% rag paper. Paper meets gallery and museum longevity requirement. Acid Free certified to avoid paper degradation

• The 8.5"x11" and 4"x6" sizes are printed on non glossy matte photo paper (or glossy by request)
